The Kidron Volunteer Fire Department is in the early stages of planning our new fire station, which will be built on our current site at the NE corner of Kidron and Emerson Roads (on the square of Kidron). The proposed cost of the project is $2.6 million.
The rendering on this page depicts the the proposed station, subject to changes as the planning process continues. Blue prints have been drawn up and modified under the direction of our Building Committee. Likewise, our Finance Committee is developing a finance plan and reaching out to prospective donors within our geographical territory.
No definitive starting date has been determined, as when we begin is subject to have the funding in place. The Board of Directors does not plan to borrow money for the project. Rather, our goal is to have the project built from both financial donations and donations of services from within the community. Accordingly, construction will begin when funding is secured.
From the start, we want everyone to know this is a community project, not just a fire department project. Accordingly, we invite you to ask any questions you may have! Likewise, we are accepting donations of any size - ranging from one time donations or pledges of financial support over a period of years. Please note we are a 501(C)(3) corporation, thereby allowing your generous donations to be tax deductible (please contact your tax advisor to ensure deductibility).
Financial donations can be made by credit card or by mailing your check (with memo noted as "Building Fund"), to:
Kidron Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 155, Kidron OH 44636
If you are a tradesman and/or contractor, we welcome the donation of your time and services to our building project. Please contact us to discuss how you can help us!
From all of us at the Kidron Volunteer Fire Department, thank you for your interest in our building project!
